Abstract
Simaba guianensis subsp. huberi (Si maroubaceae), restricted to the savanna s of the Venezuelan State of Amazonas, is described and illustrated. The ne w subspecies is distinguished from the other two subspecies of S. guianensi s by its smaller size, characteristics of the leaflets (size, texture, apex shape, and margin curvature), and fruit color.
