Abstract
Two new species of Hippocrateaceae from Brazil are described and illustrate d: Pristimera sclerophylla Lombardi, the one species of the genus that occu rs in the xerophytic vegetation of northeastern Brazil, and Cheiloclinium p uberulum Lombardi, a species with puberulent inflorescences from the rain f orests of the Amazon basin.
