Abstract
The dispersion relation and the damping of plasma waves in two-dimensional conductors are calculated under the condition of localization of electrons by impurity atoms. It has been shown that localization of electrons decreas es plasma-wave frequency as well as causing their damping when the frequenc y exceeds some threshold value. The data obtained resulted in an explanatio n of experiments on electromagnetic wave absorption in inversion layers of silicon and silicon dioxide interfaces.
