Capillary electrophoresis (CE) is well suitable for determination of saccha
rides in a variety of pharmaceutical, biomedical and food samples. It is ab
le to distinguish subtle differences between carbohydrate molecules which a
re difficult to detect and/or resolve. Other advantages of CE are its simpl
icity and effectivity. The review deals with the principles and practical a
pplications of determination of mono-, oligo- and polysaccharides.
