A review of the genus Curculio L. from China with descriptions of new taxa. Part II. The Curculio alboscutellatus group (Coleoptera : Curculionidae :Curculioninae : Curculionini)

A key to the species of the Curculio alboscutellatus (Roelofs) species grou p from China and descriptions of new taxa are presented. Descriptions of th e following new taxa are included: Curculio jilinensis new species, C. gres sitti new species. C. krissiae new species, C. lisae new species. C. latusr ostris new species, C. shopfneri new species, C. francisi new species. C. m arioi new species, C. matthewi new species, C. ochromaculata new species, C . richardi new species. Also, redescriptions are provided of C. alboscutell atus (Roelofs), C. chevrolati (Faust), C. scutellaris (Chevrolat), C. simiu s spretus (Heller) and C. tonkinensis (Heller). Type specimens are deposite d in the Institute of Zoology, Academia Sinica, Beijing, China and the Cali fornia Academy of Sciences, San Francisco. California.
