The present study compared the effects of training method and computer anxi
ety on learners' computer self-efficacy and learning performance. The study
results indicated that the behavior-modeling training method yielded consi
stently superior performance acid higher computer self-efficacy. The signif
icant two-way interaction confirmed the importance of person-situation adap
tation. In addition, the adaptation is task dependent. Findings off the stu
dy contribute to an expanded understanding of the factors that influence le
arning performance and self-efficacy and also have important implications f
or the management of information systems. Future research directions conclu
