Abstract
We report a 36-year-old woman with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy with asymmet ric septal hyper trophy without outflow tract obstruction associated with a n ostium secundum-type atrial septal defect with significant hemodynamic re percussion. Diagnosis was established with trans esophageal echocardiograph y. This is the second case of this rare association reported in the literat ure and the first evaluated by transesophageal echocardiography.
