PLDs with processor cores for browsable, configurable devices

PLDs with embedded processor cores are a powerful combination and open the door to a range of new communications opportunities. This feature explores some of those opportunities and introduces the concept of the "browsable" P LD. While the Internet is a prime communications candidate, other means suc h as LANs and WANs are options. The ability to monitor a system while it ac ts as a web server and the ability to reconfigure the system via the PLD an d communications system are presented.
