Abstract
Transmission of 32 x 40Gbit/s ETDM channels has been demonstrated over stra ight-line 1000km NDSF with 100GHz channel spacing and a record 160 and 200k m amplifier spacing. Active Raman gain flattening allowed viable performanc e without forward error correction, optical regeneration and polarisation i nterleaving.
