Abstract
Investigations are carried out on a fuzzy logic direct torque control syste m, which not only reduces the torque ripple, but also reduces the reactive power taken from the mains by choosing the optimum reference flux value. Ad ditionally, this fuzzy controller is adaptive and may be applied to any ind uction motor.
