Syntheses of phenanthroviridone, gilvocarcin BE-12406Xz, antibiotic WS 5995 B, and a key intermediate for the synthesis of jadomycin are described, bas ed on palladium- and copper-catalyzed coupling reactions of sterically hind ered aryistannanes with 2-bromonaphthoquinones.
