Abstract
Infrared absorption technique is employed to investigate the structural spe cific groups which are present in the glasses and their corresponding glass -ceramics obtained from the system Li2O, SiO2, together with investigating the role or CaO, Al2O3 and K2O additives. The crystalline phases in the gla ss-ceramics were identified using X-ray diffraction technique.
