Abstract
Two novel dinuclear Cu(II) complexes are prepared and shown to be high ly active catalysts for phosphodiester transesterification. Comparativ e studies on the dinuclear complexes and corresponding mononuclear com plexes reveal that one dinuclear complex achieves high activity by dou ble Lewis acid and double general base catalysis while the other explo its single Lewis acid and double general base catalysis.
