Abstract
The first-order non-eikonal correction has been applied to calculate h eavy-ion reaction cross sections at low energies. The numerical invest igations show that, for many heavy-ion systems, reaction cross section s and elastic scattering angular distributions thus calculated, are in good agreement with the optical model calculations.
