Gs. Yu et al., INFRARED SPECTRAL HOLE-BURNING AND CHANGE OF CONFORMATION IN SIMPLE AMINO-ACID SALTS, JOURNAL OF PHYSICAL CHEMISTRY B, 101(28), 1997, pp. 5484-5486
We show that it is possible to produce infrared spectral holes in a ne
w class of compounds, amino acid hydrochlorides (containing some deute
rium). The holes form as the result of conformational changes in the c
rystals, and the ability to produce holes leads to assignments of the
N-D and O-D stretching bands.
