Abstract
The isothermal section of the Pr-Ag-Ge phase diagram at 873 K was construct ed using X-ray phase analysis. In this and the related (La,Ce,Sm)-Ag-Ge sys t erns 12 ternary compounds were found: PrAg2Ge2 (CeAl2Ga2 type), Pr2AgGe6 (Ce2CuGe6 type), Pr3Ag4Ge4, La3Ag4Ge4, Ce3Ag4Ge4 and Sm3Ag4Ge4 (Gd3Cu4Ge4 t ype), PrAg1.4Ge0.6, LaAg1.4Ge0.6, similar to CeAg1.4Ge0.6 and SmAg1.4Ge0.6 (Fe2P type), PrAgGe (LiGaGe type) and PrAg0.8Ge1.2 (AlB2 type).
