Abstract
The influence of pH-values on the fluorescence behaviour of various perylen e-tetracarboxydiimides and 4,5-dimethoxyphthalimides was analyzed. The shif ts in fluorescence wavelength maxima and intensities were rationalized by h ydrogen bonding and by a photoinduced electron transfer model, respectively .
