Abstract
To improve the tensile bond strength of dentin bonding agents, the adhesion between dentin and MMA resin was investigated by applying initiator system s containing 1-cyclohexyl-5-ethyl barbituric acid (CEB), copper acetyl acet onate (CAA), quaternary ammonium chloride (QAC), cupric ion, with the addit ion of TEGDMA, and pretreatment solution for dentin, and an HEMA primer. Th e effects of a cross-linking agent on barbituric acid-initiated dentin bond ing resin were examined by measuring degree of conversion, molecular weight , hardness of bonding resin, and tensile bond strengths.
