The elevated temperature mechanical properties of TiCp/W composites produce
d using powder metallurgical technique were investigated. Results show that
with increasing temperature, the strength of TiCp/W composites increases g
radually and reaches its maximum value at 1000 degreesC, which is much high
er than that at room temperature. The strengthening mechanisms at high temp
erature are attributed to dislocation strengthening and load transfer betwe
en matrix and particles.
