Abstract
In ultrasonic cutting process, the cutting pressure is still essential for achieving good quality cut edge compared with traditional mechanical cuttin g process. With the increase of the cutting power, the cutting pressure dem and decreases. The cutting velocity range is extended broadly. The experime nt results show that ultrasonic cutting; technique is an effective, clean a nd controllable method for machining of carbon fibre prepreg.
