Abstract
We introduce and study a class of analytic difference operators admitting r eflectionless eigenfunctions. Our construction of the class is patterned af ter the Inverse Scattering Transform for the reflectionless self-adjoint Sc hrodinger and Jacobi operators corresponding to KdV and Toda lattice solito ns.
