Abstract
Increasingly, palliative patients and their families are going online. A se ries of cases are presented to explore the reasons they go online and the e ffects of their online activity, both harmful and beneficial. This paper hi ghlights the need to take this growing phenomenon and its effects on patien t care seriously, and identifies key areas that need to be explored further .
