Abstract
The antimony(III) phosphate, Sb5PO10, is a framework structure built from v ertex-sharing tetrahedral (SbO3E)-O-III and trigonal bipyramidal (SbO4E)-O- III moieties (E = lone pair) and (PO4)-O-V tetrahedral units; orthorhombic, space group P2(1)2(1)2(1) (No. 19), a = 6,8373(5), b = 7,0932(5), c = 19.8 730(15) Angstrom, V = 963.81(12) Angstrom (3), Z = 8. The structure, determ ined by single crystal X-ray diffraction, is based on alternating layers of antimony oxide and antimony phosphate. (C) 2000 Academic Press.
