Abstract
Since the 1980s it has been recognized that the polyps of juvenile pol yposis have malignant potential. Since the introduction of colonoscopy this syndrome has been redefined and the hamartoma-adenoma-carcinoma sequence recognized. We believe this case is the first report of an in vasive carcinoma associated with juvenile polyposis to be described in an African patient.
