Abstract
Micrococcus luteus was repeatedly isolated in blood cultures during a prolo
nged feverish syndrome in a patient who presented with multiple hepatic abs
cesses as well. In contrast to the literature, this case Is not related to
prosthetic devices; an untreated limb wound may have been the site of micro
bial entry.
