Abstract
Stark broadening parameters for 53 Ra II spectral lines have been calculate d. Calculations have been performed within the frame of the modified semiem pirical approach within the temperature range 5000-50000 K. Stark broadenin g parameters for 43 Ra II spectral lines have been calculated for an electr on density of 10(20)m(-3), while Stark broadening parameters for 10 Ra II s pectral lines, belonging 5f(2)F(o)-7d(2)D, 6d(2)D-7p(2)P(o) 7d(2)D-8p(2)P(o ) and 8d(2)D-9p(2)P(o) Ra II multiplets in the far infrared, have been pres ented for an electron density of 10(20) m(-3). Results have been used for a discussion of Stark broadening regularities within multiplets and systemat ic trends along spectral series. Moreover, the results obtained have been c ompared with simple estimates based on regularities and systematic trends.
