Rift Valley Fever

Rift Valley fever is a viral disease that affects domestic animals and huma ns. In humans, Rift Valley fever causes a flulike disease but occasionally leads to high morbidity and mortality. The disease is generally known in th e African continent. However, cases started to appear in Saudi Arabia and Y emen. The objective of this review is to give a general briefing about the epidemiology, ecology and management of the disease.
