Abstract
Exceptionally high diastereocontrol in agreement with the Felkin-Anh m odel was observed for the addition of nucleophiles to the beta-aminocy clopropylcarbaldehyde 5 in nitroaldol, cyanohydrin, Mukaiyama aldol, a nd Sakurai reactions, contrasting the low diastereoselectivities gener ally observed in additions to cyclopropylcarbaldehydes.
