Abstract
We describe a first case of successful transcatheter management of guidewir e-induced distal coronary artery perforation and impending cardiac tamponad e, which developed during percutaneous coronary angioplasty, with transcath eter injection of polyvinyl alcohol form. This method may be an effective a lternative in the management of distal coronary artery perforation requirin g surgical repair. Cathet Cardiovasc Intervent 2001; 52:231-234.
