Abstract
Bis(cycloocta-1,5-diene)nickel was found to be an effective catalyst for th e acylstannylation of 1,2-dienes to give a wide variety of alpha-(acylmethy l)vinylstannanes, which were transformed to variously substituted conjugate d and unconjugated enones by carbon-carbon bond forming reactions.
