Abstract
In a dinuclear complex containing both [ReCl(CO)(3)(bpy)] and [Ru(bpy)(3)]( 2+) chromophores, the bis(bipyridylethenyl)- benzene bridge acts as an inte rmediate reservoir of energy for two-step Re --> Ru photoinduced energy tra nsfer.
