Abstract
The results of measurements of time dependences for the formation rates of gaseous products and oxygen uptake rate in oxygen plasma treatment of a pol y(ethylene terephthalate) film at discharge currents of 20-80 mA and a pres sure ranging within 50-200 Pa are reported. The obtained data allow the aut hors to speculate on the mechanism of initiation of plasma-induced oxidativ e degradation of the material.
