Abstract
A platinum(II) terpyridine complex containing the mercaptobenzo-15-crown-5 ligand, [Pt(trpy)(S-benzo-15-crown-5)]PF6, has been synthesized and charact erized. Its cation binding properties are studied by UV-vis and further con firmed by ESI-MS. The structure has also been determined by X-ray crystallo graphy.
