Ad. Rodriguez et C. Ramirez, Serrulatane diterpenes with antimycobacterial activity isolated from the West Indian sea whip Pseudopterogorgia elisabethae, J NAT PROD, 64(1), 2001, pp. 100-102
Two new antimycobacterial serrulatane diterpenes, erogorgiaene (3) and 7-hy
droxyerogorgiaene (4), and a novel C-40 bisditerpene (5), have been isolate
d from the West Indian gorgonian octocoral Pseudopterogorgia elisabethae. T
he structures of compounds 3-5 were determined by spectral (1D and 2D NMR,
IR, UV, and HREIMS) analysis.
