Abstract
This article reviews current knowledge on human and porcine cysticercosis c aused by Taenia solium. It highlights the conditions favorable for its prev alence and transmission, as well as current trends in research on its natur al history, epidemiology, immunopathology, diagnosis, treatment and prevent ion.
