Abstract
A comprehensive list of all known bacterial pathogens of humans is now avai lable at various web-sites on the internet. The sites contain hyperlinks to original scientific literature, along with general information on laborato ry testing, antibiotic resistance and clinical treatment. More specific sit es highlight the fungus Pneumocystic carinii, arguably the main cause of pn eumonia in immunosuppressed individuals. (C) 2000 Editions scientifiques et medicales Elsevier SAS.
