THE APPLICATION OF ENTERPRISE MODELING FOR AEROSPACE MANUFACTURING SYSTEM INTEGRATION

The objective of enterprise modeling is to develop a repository regard ing organizational elements and functions that maps information object ives with business functions. This is accomplished through an exhausti ve process that analyzes and models the business to a level of detail sufficient to enable selection of appropriate technologies and the des ign of specific information systems. In this paper, enterprise modelin g is utilized to provide a baseline reference for the successful integ ration of an FMS in an aerospace electronics manufacturing facility.
