Abstract
The cocrystal structure of TaqI DNA methyltransferase in complex with its s pecific DNA substrate adds to the growing list of structurally confirmed DN A base-flipping enzymes, and provides a basis for the general mechanism of AdoMet-dependent DNA N-methylation.
