Abstract
A new bridging ligand has been synthesized by reacting 4-hydroxy-2,2'-bipyr idine with a Ru(II)-coordinated 4-bromo-2,2'-bipyridine; this bridging liga nd allowed the synthesis of polynuclear Ru(II) complexes that display the s ame luminescence properties as [Ru(bpy)(3)](2+).
