Abstract
The MINOS experiment is designed to perform detailed studies of the neutrin o oscillations in the parameter space indicated by the recent SuperKamiokan de experiment. This paper gives a general description of the experiment and of its physics goals and sensitivities, and describes the current status a nd projected schedule.
