Review of dark-matter axion experiments

We review the status of two ongoing large-scale searches for axions which m ay constitute the dark matter of our Milky Way halo. The experiments are ba sed on the microwave cavity technique proposed by Sikivie, and marks a 'sec ond-generation' to the original experiments performed by the Rochester-Broo khaven-Fermilab collaboration, and the University of Florida group.
