Optical solitons in media with quadratic nonlinearity and frequency dispers
ion are theoretically analyzed. Internal soliton modes and the rate of thei
r radiative damping as a function of detuning from the phase-matching condi
tion and the nonlinear shift of phase velocity for different soliton dimens
ions (d = 1, 2, 3) are found. The length of a nonlinear medium required to
