Abstract
(tBu(3)Si)(2)CuNa(THF)(n) (1; n = 2, 4) is the first structurally character ized sodium cuprate and represents a heavier homologue of the well-known li thium cuprates. Yellow, crystals of t(Bu3Si)(2)CuNa(THF)(2) (1a) were obtai ned from heptane (space group P2(1)/n); the ion-separated form (tBu(3)Si)(2 )CuNa(THF)(4) (1b) crystablized from toluene (space group R(3) over bar).
