Abstract
Based on the linear superposition theorem a procedure is proposed for determining steady heat fluxes on boundaries which pose an inverse con duction problem. Error analysis indicates that the condition number of the resulting coefficient matrix is the decisive factor for successfu l application of this approach. A practical case is used to demonstrat e application of the method for heat Bur measurement on a membrane wal l assembly. The new method has advantages in terms of simplicity and f lexibility.
