Za. Ezhova et al., Conditions for coprecipitation of calcium hydroxyapatite, aluminum hydroxide, and collagen with ammonia from aqueous solution, RUSS J IN C, 46(1), 2001, pp. 35-39
The interaction in the CaCl2-AlCl3-(NH4)(2)HPO4-NH3-H2O-collagen system at
25 degreesC was studied by the solubility method (the Tananaev method of re
sidual concentrations) and pH measurements. The conditions for coprecipitat
ion of calcium hydroxyapatite (HAP) with collagen and of calcium hydroxyapa
tite with aluminum hydroxide and collagen were found. Collagen-containing c
alcium hydroxyapatite and homogeneous mixed phases containing tricalcium ph
osphate (TCP), aluminum hydroxide, and collagen or calcium hydroxyapatite,
aluminum hydroxide, and collagen were obtained. The isolated solid phases a
nd the products of their calcining at 900 degreesC were studied by chemical
analyses, X-ray powder diffraction, and IR spectroscopy.
