The experimental data on reactions of peroxyl radicals with aliphatic amine
s were analyzed in terms of the parabolic model of bimolecular reactions. T
he parameters characterizing this class of reactions were determined. The r
eactivities of amine C-H bonds in reactions with RO2. were found to be clos
e to those of the C-H bonds of alkylaromatic hydrocarbons. The obtained par
ameters were used to calculate the dissociation energies of C-H bonds in 1
1 amines and four amides from the kinetic data. Quantum-chemical calculatio
ns of the dissociation energies of C-H bonds in several polyamines, amides,
and imides were performed. The results were used to estimate the reactivit
ies of various C-H bonds of polyamines and amides in reactions with peroxyl
radicals.
