Abstract
Three forms of CO on Pd were revealed on the surface of Pd-Ag and Pd cataly sts. A weakly bound form of CO (band at 2060 cm-(1), IR spectroscopy data) and the alpha (1) form of CO (T-m 90 degreesC, thermodesorption data) adsor bed on the monatomic center of Pd in the linear form were observed on the P d-Ag catalyst. The Pd catalyst featured two types of CO in the bridge form: a less strongly bound CO form (band at 1996 cm-(1), IR spectroscopy data) and the at form of CO (T-m - 140 degreesC, thermodesorption data) and a mor e strongly bound form of CO (band at 1987 cm-(1), IR spectroscopy data) and at form of CO (T-m 180 degreesC, thermodesorption).
