Abstract
C-2 functionalised silacyclopent-3-enes were obtained in high yields in onl y two steps from diallyldiphenylsilane through hydroxy-alkylation of an all yltitanium intermediate followed by ring closure metathesis of the resultin g beta -hydroxysilane.
