Abstract
Potential inhibitors of transglycosylases involved in bacterial cell wall b iosynthesis were synthesized by combining N-acetylglucosamine thiazoline, a potent inhibitor of beta -hexosaminidase, with functional groups present i n lipid IT, the natural substrate of the transglycosylases.
