Abstract
We report the discovery of securiosides A (1) and B (2). novel acylated tri terpene bisdesmosides, isolated from tie roots of Securidaca inappendiculat a. Securiosides A and B showed potent selective cytotoxic activity against M-CSF-stimulated macrophages and were suggested to have potential as new ag ents for the treatment of inflammatory diseases such as RA and atherosclero sis.
